Stitching Love into Every Quilt
The quilters at DVLC are a dedicated and faithful group. So far in 2025, they’ve lovingly produced 48 full-sized quilts—a beautiful testament to their consistency and care.
Each quilt is a true team effort. A few members piece together blocks of fabric to create the quilt tops. These are then layered with batting and backing to form a quilt sandwich. Our quilters carefully tie the layers together, sewing from top to bottom and securing each tie with a knot. Others finish the quilts with sewing the binding. Every stitch reflects the spirit of generosity that defines this ministry.
All quilts are shared locally across the peninsula—offering warmth, comfort, and a tangible expression of love to our neighbors in need. Many quilts end up in cars or with individuals experiencing homelessness, serving as a source of warmth and dignity.
If you’d like to contribute cotton or flannel fabric, batting, or other supplies, please contact the church office. Your support is always appreciated.
