Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place
for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at DVLC.

The fellowship activities at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church (DVLC) include the after service coffee hour, social outings, luncheons, weekly potluck/pizza dinners, W/ELCA (Women of the ELCA) Craft Circle/Quilt Circle, Youth activities, weekly Men's Breakfast, luncheon/dinner groups, and much more.

Bible Study

Every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. we have an informal time of study and discussion about the Bible. The pastor leads the group while we learn about God's plan
for us and delve deeper into the Word. Everyone is Welcome!

Women of the ELCA (WELCA)

The mission statement of the Women of the ELCA is "to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ." Toward that end, the Craft Circle and the Quilt Circle have been meeting almost every week for the purpose of ministry action both locally and internationally.

Our Annual Yuletide Bazaar - The Craft Circle's meet weekly to create many beautiful and unique craft items to use, wear, display and give as thoughtful Christmas gifts at the Annual Yuletide Bazaar. The Annual Yuletide Bazaar provided over $8,000 in donations to local organizations to help women and children in need in 2010. Recipients of all profits included the following.

  • Dream Center
  • True Star
  • First Step
  • Rose House
  • DVLC Wellness Clinic

The Quilt Circle made and shipped 24 quilts, 20 school kits, and 26 layettes this year for distribution by Lutheran World Relief. The Prayer Shawl Circle, made about 60 shawls to comfort those who are suffering. In addition, the quilters have quilted and sent 220 quilts to the Salvation Army.

We are active in the Olympic Cluster of the Southwest Washington Synod, and joined other congregations in our synod for Bible study and faith celebrations.
